Improvisation and Creative Process Workshop
Engaging in the creative process is central for making new work and finding new approaches to one's craft. Whether for professionals or novices, the creative process provides a path for rediscovering the artist within. These workshops are customized to fit the needs of each group, and vary in content and scope. The workshops draw from a rich knowledge-base including laban, physical theatre, creative dance, contact improvisation, theatre games, creative drama, theatre and dance improvisation, yoga, tai chi, and arts education.
Improvisation is basic to exploration in both theatre and dance.  Dance Improvisation explores the elements of time space and design in relation to props, light, sound, and effort qualities. Improvisation for theatre includes elements such as movement, characterzation, pantomime, and vocal range to build character and bring depth to text work .   Creative Drama and/or Dance workshops support adults in experiencing the creative process and in understanding the tools for sharing this process with children.
